It’s An All Night Thing
Original artwork in oils and spray paints, framed - £950
High Resolution dibond aluminium gallery print. 42”x28” - £700
This work approaches Chris Cornell through atmosphere, gesture, and emotional weight rather than precision and detail.
Built from layered oil paint and disrupted with spray, the figure emerges slowly from darkness, carried by posture, expression, and tonal restraint. The face remains unresolved, with emotion carried by posture and movement, prioritising presence over likeness.
Spray elements punctuate the background and edges, introducing abrasion and immediacy against the density of the oils. The surface holds tension between control and release — power and vulnerability — reflecting the emotional intensity that defined both the voice and the man.
Created as part of the same body of work as I Found My Friends and Love Is A Losing Game, this painting continues an exploration of pressure, instability, and endurance — portraits shaped by moments in time, and by what remains when spectacle is stripped away.
